Kaish Carloni gives us a peek inside her life starting out in trades training and now being groomed to take over the family business.
About Kaish:
I was born and raised in Penticton, B.C. After graduating from Pen high Secondary School, I took some time to travel Africa. I eventually returned to Penticton and became curious about working in trades so enrolled in the women in trades program through Okanagan College. I gained knowledge in multiple areas of trades and continue to develop this skill but inevitably returned to the art that is sandwich making. With no official schooling, I learned small business management skills through my grandmother Val, a long time entrepreneur who opened Il Vecchios Delicatessen when she was 60. She taught me the old school way of long hand book keeping, counting cash and managing bills and payments.
